The Midwives are a race of aliens inhabiting a planetoid which is actually a Timesuck egg. They are apparently tasked with attending the Timesuck egg and protecting it from intruders.
The Midwives resemble pale, emaciated women with their heads turned upside-down. Their long white hair can be at first glance be mistaken for beards. They have black eyes with glowing yellow pupils and wear black cloaks with hoods.
They appear to be a related species to the Timesuck, since they have very similar-looking eyes and the same ability to project black energy or matter from them.
The Midwives attacked Marko and Klara during their search for Izabel, accidentally banished by Klara to the Timesuck egg, but were frightened away by Izabel's terrifying illusions.
